When a patient visits an emergency room in critical condition a mad scurry of nurses and doctors tend to the patient to stabilize them. After the patient is stabilized the testing and recovery period begins. The testing and recovery period is often drawn out because of lagging technology in hospitals. Many aged processes are in place that are time consuming. HP has invented a new platform for hospitals called Digital Hospital Solution 2.0. This new platform will address the hospitals desire to more efficiently treat patients. The platform offer solutions to speed up test processing and eliminates age old procedures like inner-office delivery of test results. The hospital solution can speed recovery times. The increased recovery times are very important to larger companies. By increasing the patient recovery times it reduces the medical costs that employers pay out of pocket. Over time this means that the employee may benefit with reduced premiums for insurance. Digital solutions in the healthcare industry will most likely change the industry for the better.
